What Is the Paleo Diet All About?

Heard of the paleo diet, do you know what the paleo diet is all about? It’s funny as I prefer to use the term paleo lifestyle as it’s not actually a diet.

People are conditioned to think the paleo lifestyle is a diet when it’s just a way of healthy living and good eating habits.

This way of life has also popularly been known as the ‘caveman’ diet is a dietary plan roughly based on what our ancestors consumed during the paleolithic era.

The current day version is not an exact replication of their exact way of life, just a concept of what their diet would have been like without the direct means of doing so.

Basically, healthy, wholesome food that is not full of additives, preservatives and other harmful substances so often found in our current way of life. Big companies and general news propoganda make it sound like living the paleo way is expensive and time consuming when it’s not.

Is The Paleo Diet Natural

The paleo diet/way of life has seen a huge surge in popularity with thousands of people across the world, it’s no longer a well kept secret which in itself is rather funny, just think, to not know exactly what you should be eating as you are used to TV propaganda is laughable.

The general public think that paleo is almost something from outer space which is pretty worrying considering it’s just a natural way of living.

Books on the subject have become bestsellers like it’s some form of new phenomenon or new invention, when the truth is, we always lived the paleo way many years ago until we were conditioned not to as we need to accept processed food. – Basically we accept processed food as a way of life as our TV, radios, magazines and internet advertising tell us we need to do so when we don’t.

The paleo lifestyle itself is simple. There is a list of foods you can eat and a list of foods that you can’t eat, you can find more about that on our what paleo food you can and cannot eat. The simplicity of the whole thing simply stops there, it’s not rocket science, you simply don’t eat rubbish and in the end, your body will love you longer for it.

Junk Food Culture

Most of us have to admit, we grew up on cereal, breads, milk, chocolates, burgers, ice-creams, hot dogs, wimpey, etc, etc.

When I say most of us, I mean city folks with TVs, radio and 24 hour sales machines singing in our ears with the latest tasty this and that, which usually meant we were eating garbage and big companies were getting rich.

Isn’t it funny that the foods we associate with modern day society are garbage and I wouldn’t even feed them to my dogs.

Sounds a bit extreme but it’s true, companies get away with very good marketing and advertising campaigns that are somehow legal and allowed to be shown. They generally market kids and have killer sales budgets that make most of us at some stage, turn into advertising zombies or following sheep who think it’s fine to live on processed foods.

The sheer fact that we have grown to love processed food and their catchy advertising campaigns is simply the state of modern day living. Money is king so even in poor health, people still make money from you.

The truth is, we love these processed foods so much that obesity has reached epidemic proportions around the world, particularly in the United States.

You are only expected to eat grass fed meats, fish, poultry, fruit, non-starchy vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, lettuce, spinach, etc. Eggs and vegetable oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, macadamia oil, etc. are allowed as fats. You can only consume these foods.
