Chicken Bone Broth Recipe

We grabbed this tasty little chicken bone broth recipe from Dr axe, this is a traditional style chicken broth recipe in the full sense of the word as it is purely liquidised, but full of natural tasty chicken goodness that will leave you wanting to come back for more.
This particular chicken broth recipe is put together with the off cuts of chicken that folks tend to throw away, such as the neck wings and feet.
Strangely enough, if you did not know some of the best and most nutritious parts of the chicken come from the pieces that we tend to throw away.
In Asia, chicken parts such as the wings and feet are considered a delicacy, yet within the main, we in the western part of the world tend to throw away, but not anymore…
This chicken bone broth recipe is delicious and it is thoroughly recommended that you give it a try yourself.
- 4 pounds chicken necks/feet/wings
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 medium onions, peel on, sliced in half lengthwise and quartered
- 4 garlic cloves, peel on and smashed
- 1 teaspoon Himalayan salt
- 1 teaspoon whole peppercorns
- 3 tablespoon ACV
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 5-6 sprigs parsley
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 18-20 cups cold water
Place all ingredients in a 10 quart capacity crock-pot. Add in water. Simmer for 24-48 hours, skimming fat occasionally.
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Discard solids and strain remainder in a bowl through a colander.
Let stock cool to room temperature, cover and chill. Use within a week or freeze up to 3 months.
